Description des services: Provides a comprehensive range of family-centred treatment, rehabilitation and support services to children with disabilities and their families who reside in Dufferin, Halton, Peel, Waterloo and Wellington County

Services include:

  • Assistive Devices Resources Services - assistive technology to help children/youth with physical, developmental and communication disabilities
  • Autism Services - therapy, services and support to children with autism and their families - autism diagnostic assessments, autism resources, fee for service options, free Foundational services, Ontario Autism program (OAP)
  • Blind Low Vision Early Intervention Program - services and support for children born blind or with low vision, and their families
  • Early Child Resource Services - programs to support children with special needs in licensed childcare settings (Peel Region only)
  • Infant Hearing Program - newborn hearing screening; audiology and support services for children at risk for, or who have, permanent hearing loss
  • Medical Clinic and Specialty Services - Developmental Pediatricians, Pediatricians, and nurses support clinics and services including: CP-Neuromotor, Spasticity Management/Botox, Neuromuscular, Developmental Consultation, and more
  • Occupational Therapy - therapy services focused on improving a child/youth's ability to participate in everyday activities
  • Physiotherapy - therapy services to help children/youth with movement difficulties
  • Preschool Speech and Language - services that help support children in development of skills in speech, language and communication
  • Recreation Therapy - services that provide children/youth with special needs opportunities in recreation and leisure while developing essential skills to support community participation
  • School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) - services for students in publicly funded schools that support participation in curriculum, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy

Family Supports include:

  • Coordinated Service Planning - support community collaboration for planning and coordinating services for families of children with complex needs
  • Family Support Fund - offers financial support to ErinoakKids' families during a time of crisis or financial need
  • FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder - services and supports for caregivers of children/youth with confirmed or suspected FASD
  • Respite Services - services that provide parent relief and social and recreational opportunities for children/youth with complex care needs
  • Service Navigation- support for families to access funding, respite services and community services
  • Social Work Services - supports children and their families with social and emotional needs
  • Special Services at Home (SSAH) - administration of Ministry SSAH funding that helps families caring for a child/youth with a developmental or physical disability
  • Transition Services - specialized supports to children/youth who are preparing for a major transition in their life (eg. transition to school, transition into the adult service system)
  • Workshops - sessions that provide parents and caregivers information and strategies to support their child/youth with special needs

Referrals will be reviewed and services will be determined based on the child's individual needs and meeting eligibility requirements
Admissibilité / population desservie: Children from 0-19 years old with physical or developmental delays/disability requiring therapy to improve gross motor function (does not include children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disability (LD))
Must live in Peel Region, Halton or Dufferin County
