Description des services: Provides support to out-of-home respite initiatives for families caring for a family member with developmental disability through recreational, social and educational activities

Services include:

Brampton Sibling Workshop are offered to:
  • Children ages 6 and 12 years old who have a sibling with a diagnosis of an intellectual disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • The workshops are held in a safe setting with a structured environment and are developed to focus on sharing experiences, learning about other disabilities and meeting new people.
  • There is a fee of $10.00 per session which will be paid upon arrival and covers the cost of dinner, drinks and arts/crafts.
The Zone-out of home respite for:
  • children with autism spectrum disorder
  • between 9 and 17 years of age
A variety of fun activities and community outings offered every Tue and Thu from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Ellen Mitchell Recreation Centre located at 922 North Park Drive in Brampton


Teen Scene-a monthly Saturday social get-together for teenagers 14 to 17 years of age with autism

Youth Quest: 1 and 2-for youth ages 14-21 year old during week, evenings and weekends


Momentum-social, cultural and recreational participation for young adults between 22 and 25 years of age during week evenings and weekends

MFTD Respite--designed specifically for families caring for a child identified as “medically fragile and/or technologically dependent"
