Registered health care professional (midwife) provide primary care to women throughout pregnancy, labour and birth * for women who experience healthy, normal pregnancies- prenatal care
- labour and birth * support women to birth their babies either at home or in the hospital
- postnatal care * care to both the mother and baby during the six weeks following birth
