Description des services: Network of organizations * promotes awareness and education of elder abuse * the main goal is to ensure older adults can live free from abuse. This is done through three main avenues:
  • provide education for older adults and service providers on topics affecting the well-being of older adults living in Peel region
  • counselling services for individuals, couples, caregivers, seniors * call 905-453-5775 to access counselling services
  • focus on elder abuse awareness and prevention and elder abuse protocol training, scams and fraud prevention, community safety, healthy aging and well-being
  • partner with our stakeholders to advocate for changes and funding for community programs to meet the needs of our aging population

PEAPN currently represents over 50 members from non-profit organizations, municipal/regional/provincial government, post-secondary institutions, faith-based communities, businesses, senior groups, and more

Family Services of Peel (FSP) assumes the role of Lead Agency for PEAPN. In addition, Peel Institute on Violence Prevention, the research arm of FSP, supports PEAPN as needed in all its research endeavours in order to stay current and relevant
